Our Family Legacy
It all started back in 1957 when my father, Dallas “Jack “Bobbitt Sr, and my uncle, John W Bobbitt, were working for CW Star Ford in Penns Grove NJ. They decided when working for Mr. Star that they can do this on their own, and did exactly that with very little money, hard work and unstoppable determination.
Since that day in 1959 there have been many changes in our location and the types of cars we’ve sold, including new Datsun’s, Dodge, Chrysler, Pontiac, Buick, and our specialty, high quality previously owned cars. Also, along the way an old family friend, Troy Spencer Sr, began to work with My Dad and Uncle on North Virginia Avenue in Penns Grove NJ. It wasn’t long after that when Mr. Spencer bravely ventured out on his own. Mr. Spencer was the owner of Spencer Buick for many years on Shell Road in Carneys Point NJ. He enjoyed a great reputation before his retirement.
Fast forward some 64 years and Bobbitt Auto as we know it on Route 49 in Salem NJ has closed. But with that same brave determination of our forefathers, we are very excited to announce the families have teamed up and are reopening The Woodstown Trading Company, A Bobbitt Spencer Dealership!
To all our past, present and future customers, please stop by and see me at our new location at 25 Robinson Road in Pilesgrove. We reopened in the newly renovated Fulton Bank building just East of Cowtown.
